Bathing in lake Selstervannet in the summer of 2002 This does not happen every year. It may not happen every tenth year. 23 degrees Celsius (73F) in the lake!  If this has to do with global warming, say hello to the winners. "Do note", says the proud father, "how my 45 lbs girl age 8 handles a 250 lbs boat."
Robin and Yvonne on the summit of Nesaksla, Åndalsnes "We point our fingers at the most beautiful object to be seen from here", said the kids. They were pointing at the general store. Both claimed to be dehydrated.
Leaving the valley on August 17th 2002 The long shadows told us autumn was on its way when we left the valley on August 17th. We will be back when the grouse season starts!
Autumn in Skorgedalen, overview from Skorgehaugen Autumn in Skorgedalen. Our cabin is just to the right of the top of the pine in the center of the picture.
Long shadows late in the afternoon, October 2002 The afternoon shadows are even longer than when we left the valley in August. The båtstø (where we pull the boat ashore) is in the foreground. Can you see the silence?
